COURSE OBJECTIVES:


The major objectives of the course are to familiarize the students with the concept of management while keeping in view the organizational culture and environment constraints and global prospective of management, besides, having an in-depth look at the entrepreneurial ventures such as planning, organizing, leading and controlling. In addition the course will provide the best possible critical understanding of what it means to be a manager and what challenges are faced by him in the dynamic environment of today.  to develop certain competencies (managerial skills) such as analyzing, thinking, organizing, communicating, reporting and decisions making skills etc.

After successfully completing the requirements of this course, the students will be able to:
  1. explain fundamental management principles and the tasks of managers;
  2. understand and appreciate different managerial functions and their application in local organizational stetting
  3. critically examine current topics in management such as ethical issues, global issues, managing diversity, total quality management, leadership, motivation, change, and the decision-making process;
  4. chose from the different types of management careers;
5.   Work as a member of a "management" team;
